v  Role: The Indian Air Force (IAF) is responsible for aerial warfare, defending Indian airspace, and providing air support to ground forces.

v  Size: It is one of the largest air forces in the world and operates a wide variety of aircraft, including fighter jets, transport planes, helicopters, and reconnaissance aircraft.

v  Organization: The IAF is organized into several commands, including the Western Air Command, Eastern Air Command, and Southern Air Command.

v  Aircraft: The IAF operates a diverse fleet, including Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighters, Mirage 2000 aircraft, transport aircraft like the C-17 Globe master, and helicopters for various purposes.

v  Missions: The IAF is responsible for air defense, strategic bombing, reconnaissance, airlift operations, and disaster relief efforts.
